HTBA to champion sensorial excellence at Fi Europe 2024 with spotlight on flavonoid-powered taste modulation solutions

Nov 19, 2024

HealthTech Bio Actives (HTBA), set to champion the power of taste modulation at Fi Europe 2024. The company will showcase how its flavonoid powered ingredients can be used to deliver true sensory excellence, through a collection of healthy and indulgent food and drink prototypes available to sample on-stand. Ranging from functional gummies to a protein-enhanced vanilla beverage, these prototypes will give visitors a tangible example of HTBA’s taste modulation solutions and decades-spanning expertise in the context of the hottest food and beverage industry trends.

At HTBA, we always aim to achieve that ‘oooh’ and ‘aahh’ effect by empowering our customers to unlock exceptional, multi-sensory experiences through the extensive range of ingredients featured in our taste modulation solutions platform,” comments Tom D’hoore, Chief
Commercial Officer at HTBA. “We collaborate with key players in the food and beverage industry to help them achieve tailored solutions for their exact needs – whether the goal is to enhance sweetness, mask unwanted notes or obtain the right mouthfeel. Our goal at Fi Europe 2024 is to really demonstrate this process in action through our prototypes and show our partners how to capture the ‘wow’ factor that keeps consumers coming back for more.

Sample the ultimate sensory experience

Visitors to the stand are invited to witness the functionality of HTBA’s taste modulation solutions through a curated selection of prototypes designed to cater to the latest consumer trends. Brands looking to address the rising demand for functional beverages and energy enhancement can try HTBA’s pea protein vanilla-flavored beverage prototype, which demonstrates how the right combination of taste modulation solutions can mask bitterness and off-notes for a better drinking experience. For those seeking to craft refreshing sports hydration beverages, HTBA will showcase its recently enhanced sweetener formulation Citrosa+, which helps to round-off raw sweetness while keeping labels clean.

Attendees can also try a dark chocolate bar which demonstrates the company’s capacity to effectively mask bitter notes in an organic African chocolate. In contrast, the tonic water concept, which will also be available to taste on-stand, highlights HTBA’s bitterness enhancement capabilities through its multi-ingredient, multi-flavonoid approach. This prototype in particular aligns with the growing trend for sophisticated ‘adult’ beverages, that offer an alternative to sweet sodas and juices.

Completing the lineup is HTBA’s new Cardiose ® strawberry dragon fruit gummy concept. A 100% sweet orange polyphenol extract obtained via a proprietary solvent-free extraction process, Cardiose ® is backed by clinical research supporting its benefits for active performance and cardiovascular health at a low dose of just 500 mg per day. Through this varied collection of prototypes, HTBA aims to demonstrate the potential of its taste modulation and branded functional health solutions to craft products that fuel health from within and ignite the senses.
