Direct Purchasing Technician
ORGANIZATION CHART: Reports to Procurement Manager
JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full time
EMPLOYEE TYPE: Office staff (PVD)
LOCATION: Barcelona
Purpose
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating orders with suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, track purchase orders, and collaborating closely with various company departments.
This is a newly created position that will allow the selected candidate to build a high-impact role within the company with a growth plan.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Be the purchasing to support of the Procurement department leading the replenishment of direct purchases, including raw materials and CMOs.
- Order Management: purchase orders creation, orders delivery tracking, and manage any required Accounting documentation related to procurement activities.
- Management of the import process in coordination with customs and Logistics.
- Request quotes from suppliers and negotiate purchase terms.
- Register new suppliers and keep current supplier data updated in the system.
- Manage, monitor, and keep delivery times and order prices up to date.
- Review and approve invoices for orders with issues.
- Identify efficiency and savings opportunities and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within procurement or operational processes.
- Strong knowledge of SAP.
- Expert in Office is a must.
- Raw materials and CMOs knowledge is desirable.
Education
- Degree in Administration, Finance, Business, Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in Procurement or Supply Chain ideally within an international or corporate environment.
Language
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) of Spanish and English is a must.
